Many of us feel as if we have a life that is organized but in reality, all of us have something in life that needs to be improved and worked on. These things could be holding us back from our dreams and goals in life. Sometimes we might not even know that we need to work on those things until we stop and think about them. Some of the things that might need to be improved in our lives might include organization in your home or work place, your sanity, daily productivity and even possibly our happiness and joy could need improving.
Most of us know that sleeping at night for at least 8 hours is a good start. Another thing most of us know is that having a healthy diet can help to improve your life. - Turn off the TV and listen to positive music instead
Listening to the TV can turn into a bad habit. Some people listen to it in order to have noise in the background. If you’re one of those that likes to have noise in the background while you work, I have a better solution for you. Turn off the TV and put on some positive upbeat music. Listening to positive upbeat music will help you to focus more on your task and even prevent depression.
- Put one treat on the grocery list
We all need treats but when you’re trying to lose weight or watch after your money it can be hard to award yourself a treat. Simply just put one treat down for you to have that week and keep it within your budget so you won’t feel bad when you’re having it. Plan that treat around your diet and just remember ahead of time that you’re going to have it so it won’t make you feel bad when you have your treat. Don’t give yourself a hard time for having it.
- Write out a list of things that you have accomplished during the week
A lot of people make the mistake of focusing on what needs to get done for that week. When you focus on what needs to get done only it can become overwhelming. Instead, write out a list of all the things that you have actually accomplished for that week. You might be surprised as to all of the things you got done and it might not seem as overwhelming.
- Leave money in your pocket or somewhere in the house and forget about it
It’s always nice finding money that you forgot you had. Leave $5 or $10 in a space that you know no one else will have access to it. Forget that you put it there. Later you might find the money when you least expect it and it could come in handy. Don’t put it in your pocket jeans because then you might accidentally wash it, instead put it in your coat pocket.
- Put colorful art on your wall
There are times when all you need to do is just change your furniture around or put art on your wall. Make sure that the art you decide to put on your wall is colorful, cheery and bright. Don’t put art on your wall that might make you feel sad or down. When you see the art on your wall it should make you want to smile each time.
- Read a variety of books
Most of us tend to just stick with our favorite genre in books. However, reading a variety of books in different categories can help improve our lifestyle and give us ideas that we didn’t think about before. Don’t feel bad to pull out a book in the self help genre. If space is a problem you can always buy a kindle or e-reader and download books that way and save space.
- Color code your keys with nail polish
I don’t know about you but sometimes it can be frustrating trying to find that key you need. One way to make it not as complicated is just simply color them with nail polish. Use different colors and patterns on your keys. This will make them more fun and cut out some of the stress in your life if you always have a hard time with your keys.
- Compliment people more often and give tips
Complimenting people more often can help you in so many ways. You will feel good about yourself and at the same time, make the other person feel good. A compliment might help them out right when you least expect it. Giving a tip can also really help. It doesn’t have to be a large tip but just something to know that you appreciated their hard work. Surprising people with a gift at random can also feel good. You don’t even have to compliment someone you know. Just walk up to a stranger at a store and compliment on something they could be wearing.
