In the USA and around the world sports happen to be very popular and considered important parts of the culture in some areas. Generations ago people only had the option of attending the sports event in person but now as technology has changed fans can watch their favorite sports game and team on television. Some people feel that television has helped with people falling in love with sports all over again.  Listed below you will find the top ten coolest sports ever that you should be able to get on your television.

10. Bungee jumping

Bungee jumping is a sport that involves you jumping from a structure that is very tall. In order to jump from this structure you will need to have one elastic cord that is large. Most tall structures seem be focused on an object that is fixed like a bridge, building or the crane. It is very hard jumping from objects that might be moving. Once a person starts to jump then the cord begins to stretch and then the jumper will fly upward again because the cord starts to recoil. It will continue to oscillate and go up then down and stop once the energy has dissipated.

AJ Hackett decided to do a SkyJump back in August 2005 and did it on the Macau Tower and that has been the world’s biggest jump coming in at 764 ft. However, this was not qualified as the world’s biggest bungee jump because it was not a strict bungee jump but they do refer to it as the “Decelerator Descent” jump.

9. Fencing

Fencing is very popular at the Olympic Games and it is one of the sports that have been featured at every game recently. Fencing is actually divided into three different kinds of weapons and those weapons are: foil, Sabre and Epee. Back in the 18th century was when Modern fencing started to originate. The rules for modern fencing actually originated from Spain.  People must use protective clothing in fencing and the clothing is made out of nylon or cotton because it’s a tough material.

Figure skating is another sport that is also very popular and known at the Olympics. It is a sport in which groups, pairs and even individuals can perform moves that are challenging, footwork, jumps and spins. Figure skating has a variety of levels that range from the beginner all the way to the senior level. Competitions include local, national plus international. Fans can watch figure skating at the Winter Olympic Games. Some of the biggest competitions internationally include the Winter Olympic Games, World Championship, World Junior Championship, European Championship, Four Continent Championship and plus the Grand Prix Series that is for both the senior plus juniors.

7. Rodeo

Rodeo has always been one sport that is very competitive. The sport arose from work practices from cattle herding in places such as Mexico, Spain, Canada, Australia, South America and the USA. It takes a lot of skills in order to do this kind of work. In the western part of the USA cowboys often times would participate in this event. Today horses plus other kinds of livestock is involved with this sport. Both cowboys and cowgirls can now participate in the rodeo. A professional rodeo often has these events; team roping, tie down roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, bareback bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding. These events get divided and broken down into two different kinds of categories being events that are timed plus a rough stock event.

Surfing is a very exciting water sport to watch as participants ride the waves of the ocean. Often time’s surfers will just ride the waves in the ocean but sometimes they might v

enture out in wave pools, rivers and the lakes. There are now a lot of variations on the sport such as Bodysurfing which this is done without using a board. Bodysurfing is considered to be one of the purest forms of surfing. There’s also paipo boarding plus stand up paddle surfing.

5. Volleyball

Volleyball is a sport in the USA that is considered to be very notable. Fans love to watch the games more so at colleges plus universities. A lot of college games tend to be for both male and female but somehow volleyball turned out to be a game that is loved by women. There are over 300 different schools that participate in the NCAA Division and 82 schools participate in all three of the NCAA division I that is combined with the variety men's volleyball and only 22 that participate in the Division I.

4. Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed martial arts are also known as the MMA and it’s a sport that is full contact sport. It involves techniques that include grappling and striking. It also involves standing plus being done on the ground and other kinds of combating sports. Back in the 1900’s a variety of contests started to take place that went throughout Japan, Pacific Rim and Europe. Back in the 1920’s Vale Tudo; a combat sport was also brought to the USA from the Gracie family back and back in 1993 the UFC also known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship was founded.

The great thing about paintball is that either individuals or teams can play this sport. Opponents must be eliminated by trying to tag them and in order to tag them you must use capsules that contain a water soluble dye plus have a gelatin shell outside and these often times get called paintballs and those propel from the device known as the paintball marker which is called the paintball gun. This sport involves competitions which include worldwide leagues, professional teams, tournaments plus players. The technology from paintball is used by the military force, paramilitary, law enforcement plus the security organizations to help with supplementing military training. It can also be used to respond to riots.

Skateboarding was mainly born in the USA and it involves performing a variety of tricks plus riding the skateboard. It can be used as transportation and for many other things. There was a report done back in 2002 that said there are at least 18.5 million skateboarders worldwide. The report also showed that 74% of them are male and that 85% happen to be 18 years of age or younger. Back in the 1970s a lot of skate parks were done and constructed for people that use inline skaters, bikers and for the skateboarders. It is said that skateboarding was born out of California when surfers could do something whenever the waves turned out flat and this happened back in the early 1940’s/50’s. No one is sure of the exact time that skateboarding was created.

A lot of people say that Baseball is the “national past time of the USA” but then football lovers would disagree. In October the World Series of Major League Baseball is played between two of the biggest leagues being the American League and also the National League. The winner of Baseball is determined thru the best of seven playoffs.
