Top 10 Bizarre Curses
Why do people turn to magic in the last? Is it performed for the gaining of success, wealth, love or fame? Magic whether it is black or white, in unjustified no matter what the circumstances are. Similarly, the magicians who use them are often considered to be outlaws marked by their aberration. They are in fact obsessive about thrills and joys which lie far beyond the limits of rationality. At the same time, they also make use of certain curses which according to them have the power to destroy the life of any human being. Whether the curse works or not, cannot be said with complete certainty. Still, there is indeed something bizarre about these curses, which has compelled me to formulate a list of the most infamous curses there are. Below is the list of the top 10 bizarre curses.
10. BJORKETORP RUNESTONE
At number 10 we have the curse which is related to a group of stones known as the Runestones. There is a famous local legend in the area that a man once tried to remove the stone from its place by using fire and water. But as soon as he lit the fire, a sudden blow of wind turned the fire towards him. So, he was burnt alive in the fire. Soon after his death, the fire around the stone suddenly vanished.
9. The Bambino Curse
This curse is related to the baseball team, Red Sox. It is said that that after trading Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees, the Red Sox team was not able to win a world series for many decades. At the same time, Babe Ruth had won the New York Yankees a world series which indeed showed it was the bad luck of the Red Sox to trade Babe Ruth. What’s even more bizarre is the fact that after many years, finally the Red Sox had managed to win a world series by defeating none other than the New York Yankees in the final.
8. CURSE OF TIPPECANOE
It is said in the year 1840, William Harrison had won the presidency by using the slogan “Tippecanoe and Tyler too” and one year later he had died. From here onwards the things got strange. In the following hundreds years or so, every president who was selected in a year ending in zero had died before the completion of their term. The presidents like Abraham Lincoln (1880-shot), McKinley (1900-shot), Harding (1920-natural causes), Roosevelt (1940-natural causes), John F. Kennedy (1960-shot).
7. THE SUPERMAN CURSE
This curse is said to be linked with the people who have played the role of Superman in the movies and in TV series. George Reeves committed suicide and Christopher Reeves was paralyzed. The curse is said to be originated from the two people who had designed the character, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster who cursed he character as their employer had withheld the money and the rights they deserved.
6. THE BILLY GOAT CURSE
This curse had originated when a Greek Immigrant, Billy Sianis, was pushed out of a game as he wanted to parade in the ground with his pet goat. So, in retaliation he cursed the Cubs Team that they would never win again. Surprisingly, the curse worked out, as the team lost the World Series that year and was also unable to win the final for twenty more years.

5. THE KENNEDY CURSE
It can be said that there is some sort of curse which has always been influencing the Kennedy Family. John F. Kennedy and his brother had both been assassinated, while John F. Kennedy Jr. had died in a plane crash. Ever the sister of John F. Kennedy had died in the World War II.
4. JAMES DEAN’S PORSCHE
In the year 1955, James Dean had died in an accident while riding his Porsche Spyder. The wreck of the car was purchased by George Barris for $ 2500. While his mechanic was attempting to repair the car, it suddenly fell on him and broke his both legs. The next year, there were two sports cars which had some parts of the cursed Porsche in them. Yet again, they underwent an accident during the race, killing one of the drivers. Afterwards, the entire Porsche had disappeared and has never been found till the present date.
3. THE HOPE DIAMOND
This cursed diamond is blue in color and weighs about 45.52 carats. A legend asserts that this diamond had been stolen from the land of magic, India due to which the curse had begun. The thief who stole the diamond was ripped and eaten alive by some wild dogs in Russia. Then, in the ownership of King Louis XVI, the king was murdered by a group of revolutionaries with his wife.
2. THE TUTANKHAMEN CURSE
This curse is said to be related to the Tutankhamen’s Tomb. As soon as the tomb was opened the curse began to spread, first killing Lord Carnarvon (The Financier for the Tomb’s Search) and then 11 people who were somehow related to the tomb had also died. Some of them had committed suicide while other died for mysterious reasons. Later onwards, when the mummy was removed from the Tomb, it also had in identical mark at the same place where Lord Carnarvon was bitten.
1. THE 27 CLUB
This name was given to a group of musicians who had all died at the age of 27. There are a number of lists present which have the names of a number of individuals who were somehow related to one another. The famous and accepted names in the group include Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, James Morrison and Kurt Cobain.
