Usain Bolt is known as one of the fastest runners of all times and is a four time Olympic gold medalist and a five time world medalist. He has the world record for the 100 and 200 metres. He went into the Olympics to win and he defended the Olympic 100m and scored the second fastest time throughtout history with 9.63 seconds. He is very happy with himself and says that he is now closer to becoming a legend or is he one already?
9. Max Whitlock: English gymnast
Max Whitlock was born on July 13th, 1993 and has worked very hard with becoming a English gymnast. He recently played in the 2012 Olympics in London and won silver. He scored the highest and ended up beating Louis Smith on the pommel horse. Back in May he helped out the team and they won Gold at the European Championships with the Montpelier.

Ben Ainslie was born on February 5th, 1977 and is a very popular English competitive sailor. He is the very first one to win the medals at at least five of the Olympic Games plus he won four gold medals and he is the only second one to do so and the other one to win four gold medals was Paul Elvstrom. Just at the age of eight was when he started to sail and then he started competing by the time he was ten years old.

Andy Murray was born on May 15th, 1987 and a known Scottish professional tennis player. He is ranked number 4 throughout the world and he is number 1 for the British. Murray won the Olympic Gold Medal in the men’s singles plus won a silver medal with the mixed doubles. He performed amazing at the 2012 London Olympics.

between Anthony Joshua and Erislandy Savon was very close. Everyone was watching until the very end to see who would end up winning. Anthony Joshua was born on October 15th, 1989 from Finchley which is located in London, England. He is currently ranked as Number 3 for the 91kg+ in the World according to the AIBA World Rankings. He started boxing when he was 18 years old after he talked with his cousin and got inspired. He said he didn’t go into sports for the money but that he wanted to win the medals.

Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott both did an amazing job with the canoe slalom duo. It is now considered to be a very historic day for the canoe slalom. They are the first one’s from Britain to win gold medals with the slalom. Team mates Richard Hounslow and David Florence won the silver. When Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott won gold everyone was shocked including them. The crowd went wild and everyone celebrated with them.

Lin Dan was born on October 14th, 1983 in Longyan, Fujian. He is a badminton professional player that is from China. He is considered to be the greatest player of badminton of all times. When he was just 28 years old he had done the Super Grand Slam and won all of the nine big titles in the world of badminton. On top of his victories he can now add a gold medal in the mens singles because he defeated Lee chong Wei and got the gold which was no surprise for his fans.
2. Adrian Zielinski: Weightlifting
Adrian Zielinski was born on March 28th 1989 and is from Naklo nad Notecia and is the Polish Weightlifter. He won a gold medal in the men’s 85kg category and had the total of 385 Kg. Adrian Zielinski said that he had fullfilled his dreams with winning the gold in this category. He said he thought he was going to get a metal but he did not think that he would be winning gold.

Michael Phelps was born on June 30th, 1985 and has won 22 medals at the Olympics. He has the record for winning the most gold medals and that now includes winning the gold medal at the 2010 London Olympics. He won a total of four gold medals and two silver medals in the 2012 Olympics in London. He also holds the world record for the long course with the 100 metres butterfly, 400 metres individual medley, and the 200 metres butterfly. He now has 71 medals, 57 gold, 11 silver medals and three bronze medals.
