10 Bizarre and Unusual Ways to Die

The final mystery of all life is death. Throughout history it has been, not difficult to ascertain when a person ceases to live. However, in almost every generation there have been cases in which erroneous and incorrect judgments have yielded ghastly

results. Life has no certainty at all, as every soul dies at one time or the other. There is no doubt in saying that every second a person dies. Of all the revolutions in the modern era, the most spectacular is the mortality revolution. At the same time, if death resulting from disease, accidents or any sort of violence is eliminated, then in the nearby future most of the people would die in their tenth decades. Death can encapsulate you any time and at any place with zero warning. More surprisingly, you can even die in ways that can’t even imagine. Being optimistic about life is one thing, being realistic is quite another. Which approach you adopt towards life, depends upon you. 10. Chrysippus of Soli

Chrysippus was a Greek philosopher who gave many theories about the origins of the universe and the possible causes operational behind it. He had also done a great deal of work in the domain of mathematics, medicine, astronomy and religion. It has been confirmed by various sources that one day he had fed a donkey with some minor amounts of wine. After doing this, he sat on a nearby tree and watched the donkey eat figs. This sight appeared so funny to him, that he started laughing and never stopped. Too much laughter had resulted in a heart strain due to which he died at the spot.

9. Sigurt the Mighty

Known in history as the second Viking earl of Orkney, the dying manner of Sigurt has made it to our number 9th spot. It is said that he was quite relentless, vicious and brutal and had hundreds of enemies. It is said that after winning a war, he had tied a person’s head to his horse and dragged it along to this destination. On the way, suddenly the head bounced and struck against his leg. During this impact a tooth of the dead person, had scratched along the long of Sigurt who didn’t bother much about it. As there was no proper medical knowledge about the potential harm that could be caused by the bacteria in a person’s mouth, the infection had spread all over his leg due to which he died a few days later.

8. Sir Arthur Aston

Having served under the leader of King Charles I, Arthur Aston was considered a noble and an honored soldier in his times. During one of the many wars he had fought, he had lost one of his legs. In order to compensate for the lost limb, he had implanted a peg leg. What’s more surprising is the fact that a few years later, a few thieves had beaten him to death with his peg leg. The thieves thought that he had hidden all his money in the artificial leg, but had found nothing in the end. Thus, a great soldier had died in a way which can force any crippled person to start thinking about what they carry with them.

7. Henry Hall

This man used to be the lighthouse keeper of the Eddystone Lighthouse located in Cornwall. It is said that on the 3rd of December, a fire had broken out in one of the floors of the lighthouse. The fire was so intense, that henry and his companions were unable to put it off. In the end they were left with no other option, than to escape the tower. As they got out of the lighthouse, they stood to watch it burn to the grounds. They were rescued the next morning, but suddenly Hall died after a few days. The autopsy exam performed after his death, revealed that while he was watching the tower burn, a piece of molten lead had fallen into his mouth and burnt its way down to the stomach which was later removed from the body.

6. Clement Vallandigham

Known as the political opponent of Abraham Lincoln, Clement was fighting a case in which he was defending a person accused of killing a person in a bar room brawl. Clement tried to demonstrate to the judges that the person had in fact killed himself while trying to take the gun out of his pocket. Thinking that the gun was unloaded, Clement accidently shot himself in the knee during the demonstration. The shot resulted in a femoral artery injury, thus causing his death within a few minutes. The accused was later on released from the charges.

5. Phillip McClean

Phillip McClean, a 16 year old boy, along with his two brothers came across a cassowary on the 6th of April, 1926. The tried to kill the bird by striking with it clubs. In fact it was Phillip who tried to take the first shot, but missed. In retaliation, the bird charged towards him and kicked him in the neck, thus opening a 1.25 cm wound. Phillip managed to escape from the scene, but had died a few hours later due to excessive bleeding. Till now, nearly 221 attacks have been reported by this dangerous, but Phillip was the only one killed in all of them.

4. Len Koenecke

Known as a major league baseball player, the

dying manner of Len has made him qualify for our number 4th spot. He was quite used to alcohol intakes and was cut off from the team due to some poor performances. On his way home to New York, he had picked up a fight with a flight attendant and with the captain of the plane. After his arrival to New York, he boarded on a flight to Buffalo. Once again, he got in a combat, but this time his target was the co-pilot. In trying to stop Len, the pilot had hit him with a fire extinguisher on his head. After making the emergency landing on a race track, they realized that Len was already dead. Later onwards, it was revealed that he died of a brain hemorrhage as his skull had been entirely fractured.

3. Alan Stacey

Alan was a British Formula I driver for the Lotus. During a race at the Belgian Grand Prix in the year 1960, at the speed of nearly 190 km/h, a bird flew into his face die to which he lost control of the car forcing it to bounce off the track into the thick bush hedges. After absorbing a great deal of damage, the car had finally stopped in a nearby field. When the emergency team reached the spot, they found that Alan was already dead. Till now, it has not been confirmed that how did exactly did Alan die. Was it the force with which the bird had crashed into his face because of the high speed of the car or was it the colossal accident itself? Although nothing can be said with surety, still the manner of his death was quite bizarre.

2. Bena Tshadi Team

At number 2 we have the strangest consecutive deaths that were caused by a strike of lightening. In the year 1998, during a football match in Kasai province of Congo, a sudden strike of lightening had hit the ground when the score was 1-1. Surprisingly, all the players of the guest team had died in the accident, while no team member of the host team was harmed in it. This event resulted in a wave of suspicion and witchcraft all around the country and the world. How weird is it to believe that all the players of a single team had died while all other members of the host team had survived.

Acton bale was yet another victim of the planking craze. He had fell seven stories down from the balcony of a flat while attempting to do this so called stunt. His intentions were to photograph himself doing this insane act and to upload the photos online. But things did not turn out the way he had planned. Planking is a fad which involves lying face down from dangerous and incongruous locations in order to test your limits. No matter what the planking fans all around the world have to say about the death of Acton Bale, it is a fact that Acton Bale had died a pointless and bizarre death.
